Floris UMC supports families and individuals in need by providing fundamental necessities such as food, personal hygiene items, and books. We also partner with local organizations to provide shelter.

Cornerstones

We partner with Cornerstones to prevent evictions. Cornerstones partners with Fairfax County to operate the North County Hypothermia Prevention Program.

We partner with FACETS to operate Floris Guest House.

Food for Others

We partner with Food for Others to provide mobile food distribution in the Fairfax area.

We partner with LAWS Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services to help vulnerable families find housing and other services to stay safe during tumultuous times.

She Believes in Me

We partner with She Believes in Me (SBIM) to provide life skills, emotional support, and resources to girls and their families in the Herndon area.

The Closet

Donate your time or clothing to The Closet, a nonprofit that funds local charities and scholarships in Herndon.

UpsideDown Moments

We partner with UpsideDown Moments to provide clothing to children in foster care and at-risk youth in the Loudoun County area. UpsideDown Moments provides clothing quarterly during GRACE Ministries distribution. You can donate clothing to UpsideDown Moments each month.

Vecinos Unidos (Neighbors United)

We partner with Vecinos Unidos to provide homework assistance for elementary school students, Monday through Thursday from 4:30-6 p.m. Volunteers, 17 years and older, mentor at least one day a week at the Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center.
