Day 3 – Mercy Hospital’s Medical Outreach to Fengehun Village
Hello, again Floris UMC. Today was our team’s medical outreach day in the remote village of Fengehum, one of 50 villages served by Mercy Hospital through the outreach program. I’m sharing a few pictures from today where I was part of the lab team recording results from malaria, HIV, and pregnancy testing.
We were greeted by the people singing songs of thanksgiving for their medical care. That was a very humbling experience. We served about 200 mothers and children, some of whom tested positive for malaria. They will be advanced for medical care through Mercy Hospital. This is a very direct example of how our connection helps save lives.
Everywhere I turn, I see God at work in and through the faithfulness of people serving here and your generous support. With that, I see so much that still needs to happen.
Please continue your prayers for all ministries here and our team! I’ll try to keep posting as I go.
