Easter Baskets
Bring a smile to a child this Easter! Pick up kits in the Gathering Space Sunday, March 16 – March 30, fill up a basket and return it to the church in Fellowship Hall on Return Day, Sunday, April 6, by noon. Every Easter, Floris UMC provides Easter Baskets to children in our community who are living in shelters or transitional housing. this year, the goal of the Easter Basket Ministry is to fill up to 800 baskets. Floris UMC families will pick up Easter Basket Kits, which includes a tag representing a child, purchase a basket and fill it with $35 of goodies. When the decorated baskets are returned, please be sure that the tag of the child is visibly in place and the basket is securely wrapped using the cellophane bag that was provided with the kit. If you need to make alterative arrangements to drop off your basket, please contact Donna Porter before April 6.
