Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous at Floris UMC
Alcoholics Anonymous® (AA) is a fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength, and hope. The goal is to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. Everyone is welcome, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, income, or profession.
We do not have any dues or fees for AA membership; the group is self-supporting through contributions. AA’s purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
Three AA groups meet weekly at Floris UMC:
- Happy Hour Step Meeting – Mondays at 5:30 p.m.
- Glad Group – Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m.
- Happy Hour Big Book Meeting– Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.
