Rev. Barbara Miner
Associate Pastor, Director of Worship
Rev. Barbara Miner is an Associate Pastor, Director of Worship at Floris United Methodist Church. Barbara spent her childhood years in Ohio. She attended school in Birmingham, Alabama so she could dance with a local ballet company and complete her degree in Christian Education and Fine Arts. After graduation, she met and married her husband, Marty, and spent the next few years as a military spouse. She and Marty have three grown children.
Barbara has served as a pastor at Floris UMC since 2006. As Director of Worship, Barbara’s main responsibilities are to offer vital, God-honoring worship in a variety of styles for the congregation. She also oversees Congregational Care Ministries and takes pleasure in ensuring that compassionate, spirit-filled care is offered to those in crisis or times of difficulty. She also enjoys preaching and teaching and considers it a privilege to be a pastor here at FUMC.
• Favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 43:1-3
• First job: Barbara’s first job was wrapping candy at a local candy factory in her hometown.
• Barbara’s idea of a perfect day: Spending time with family, playing games, preferably on or near the water.

Jeanette Debernardi
Congregational Care
Jeanette Debernardi is the Care and Concern Coordinator at Floris United Methodist Church. Jeanette was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico and she has two children.
Jeanette began working at Floris UMC in April 2010. She coordinates the needs of the congregation through the care ministries (Angels on Call, Cancer Support Group, Celebrate Recovery, Divorce Care, Funerals, New Baby Ministry, Pastoral Counseling, Lay Counselors, Prayer Ministry, Stephen Ministries, Support Groups, Transportation and more.
• Favorite Bible verses: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, Psalm 40:1-3.
• First job: Flight attendant for Aeroméxico Airlines.
• Jeanette's idea of a perfect day: Spending time with her children.
• Jeanette shares, "I am so amazed by the generosity of God. He has blessed me with wonderful kids, a loving church, and the opportunity to bless and care for others through my job. God is good!"
