So Others Might Eat (SOME)
SOME is an interfaith, community-based organization in Washington, DC that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. SOME meets the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing, and health care. SOME helps break the cycle of homelessness by offering services such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness.
Each month Floris UMC volunteers prepare breakfast at SOME for those in need. This ministry occurs on the third Saturday of every month. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work in the kitchen.
