Sunday Morning @ Kid Nation
A place where kids learn and grow!
Kid Nation, Floris’ ministry for infants through grade 5, is offered on Sundays with programs during the 9:15 and 11 AM services and Nursery for all services. We strive to extend the teachings into each child's week through a partnership with parents, the spiritual leaders of each child's home. How do I check my child in?
We have an Electronic Check In system that supports the safety of our children and makes it easier than ever for the families.
All nursery age children must be checked in at the Nursery.
Children in Preschool through 5th grade can be checked in at any of our welcome stations on the 1st or 2nd floor. Name tags will be printed for each child and a pick up tag that matches the number on all your children’s tags. You must bring your receipt to pick up your children (we recommend you wear it to avoid losing it!) Replacement receipt tags can only be issued at the Welcome Station.
What if my child needs me during the service?
If your child is in the nursery, you will be paged on your beeper. If your child is in our Sunday morning program, we will notify an usher who will pass your name to the pastor and an announcement will be made.
Who will be teaching my child?
All of our teachers are carefully screened volunteers who have been trained in our Child and Student Safety Policy and have a completed Background Investigation form. Volunteers have a genuine desire to share Christ with your children in a loving Christian environment.
What will they be doing?
We strive to provide a place where children will receive love and inspiration as they learn and grow. Kid Nation partners with parents to help kids develop a faith in Jesus Christ that lasts a lifetime. In all areas of the ministry children experience worshipping God through music, interactive learning, Bible lessons, and prayer. In the elementary grades children begin to learn about Mission ministry as well.
What if my child has special needs?
All children are invited to join us for our Sunday morning programs. Some children with special learning needs benefit from individualized support. Through our Buddy Program, children are matched with a volunteer buddy to assure appropriate supports and assistance so that they can participate fully and successfully in classes with their same-aged peers. Please contact Karen Berlin at email@example.com to receive more information on Floris’ Buddy Program.
