Carly was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in Rockville, Md. before moving to Northern Virginia when she was three years old. Carly and her family started attending Floris UMC in 1991. Starting at age 16, Carly worked at Floris UMC's nursery and continued to worked there occasionally until she was 18.
Carly graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design. She then went on to complete her master's in graphic design at Savannah College of Art and Design.
After college Carly decided to move back to Northern Virginia where she met her husband. Carly and her husband now live in Herndon, Va. with their two young sons.
Carly began working at Floris UMC in 2015. Her responsibilities include designing all graphic materials for Floris UMC events and programs.
First job: Working in the Nursery at Floris UMC as a teenager.
Most interesting vacation: Traveling to Peru and hiking the Inca Trail in Machu Picchu.
