Be a part of healing, restoring, and transforming this broken world into God’s vision for the Kingdom of God. By viewing racial reconciliation as a part of our sanctification, we will learn together how to live more like Jesus, see the Image of God in others, and bring the Kingdom of God on earth.
1. To establish a core planning team that provides spiritual and tactical direction to the implementation of this effort
2. To enable a fully transformational process by committing the staff to lead by example
3. To initiate the process of sanctification by offering educational and experimental opportunities to the congregation and community
The first step in reconciliation is understanding that which needs to be reconciled. This initiative will offer educational and experiential opportunities to equip people with the tools and resources to navigate conversations around race and tolerate racial stress without responding with, “anger, withdrawal, emotional incapacitation, guilt, augmentation, and cognitive dissonance.”
