Student Choir
Rehearsal: Every Sunday from 5-6 PM
Where: Floris UMC
Who: Junior and Senior High School Students
The Student choir is a choir made up of junior and senior high school students. They sing in worship once a month, and participate in special tours and trips throughout the year. They perform a wide variety of music ranging from classical to musical theater and gospel.
All abilities and levels are welcomed. No audition is required. Simply show up to Sunday night rehearsal, and all materials will be provided for you.
Celebration Choir
Rehearsal: Rehearsal every Wednesday, 6-7 PM
Where: Floris UMC
Who: Grades 3 through 6
Celebration Choir is a lively group of kids in grades 3 - 6 who come together once a week to prepare music for Floris's services, to find fellowship with other kids, and to have fun in a musical atmosphere. Twice a year the Celebration Choir has special presentations in Floris's Children's Concerts and throughout the year many opportunities exist to sing with other musical groups including adult groups. All different kinds of music in many different styles are explored.
No prior singing or choral experience is needed. Just come to rehearsal on Wednesday nights or contact the director for more information.
Little Praisers Children’s Choir
Rehearsal: Every Wednesday 6-7 PM
Where: Floris UMC, Room 233
Who: Kindergarten – Second Grade
The Little Praisers Children’s Choir is for kids in Kindergarten through Second Grade. They sing about once a month, alternating between the 9:15 and 11:00 services. They also sing at two Children’s Concerts, one in December and one in the Spring. If your child has an interest in music, please come and join us.
Grace Notes
Rehearsal: Every Sunday morning during Sunday school
Where: Floris UMC, Child’s Sunday School Rooms
Who: 3 & 4 year olds (and preschool age children)
Grace Notes is a fun energetic group is perfect for your preschooler! This choir gives the opportunity to praise and learn about God in a fun and playful way. With rehearsals every week during Sunday school, and performances once a month during the service they attend, it is an easy low maintenance group. Your child will sing basic, entertaining music with motions! We will play different musical games each week and your kids will love practicing!
